A Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP) is a critical tool designed to address the specific wildfire risks facing communities. It’s a collaborative effort between county officials, Fire Safe Councils, and local residents to develop actionable solutions that reduce wildfire risks. The CWPP identifies areas needing hazardous fuels reduction, highlights infrastructure that must be protected, and suggests actions to improve preparedness and educate the public. It empowers communities to prioritize the places and resources they value most while outlining clear steps to safeguard these from wildfires.

Your input is valuable in informing the CWPP and creating a plan that can get results. There are several ways you can get involved:
